Description:

The original founders of Seyaria and the surrounding isles, these people are bipedal humanoids. They have round ears, squarer features, and can adapt to a lot of different lifestyles. The people have a very wide range of appearances with different ethnicities based on the islands they originally came from. But, all Seyarans have soft layer of skin, coated in a layer of hair and standing upon two legs. They have two arms with hands and five fingers. When becoming physically stronger, their muscles enlarge and become more noticeable under their skin. Males and Females can be told apart based on fat distribution, genitalia, and skeletal structure, making them sexual dimorphic. Females tend to have wider hips, fat development in their breasts (something most other species only have during pregnancy), and more rounded square features. Males tend to be larger than women and develop muscle content at a higher rate. They typically have wider shoulders, more body hair, and deeper voices.

At birth, Seyarans are only slightly larger than an adult’s head. This is to assist the mother give birth to the child. They are extremely vulnerable at this stage of life. The child will rapidly grow in size and intelligence, learning their language by the time they are a year and a half old. They are still very reliant on their parent and will be until they are mostly through the point of maturity, which differs between males and females. For males, it occurs around twelve to fifteen years of age and doesn’t stop until about middle of their twenties. For females, it occurs around ten to twelve till mid twenties. This is where the two sexes divert from their similar appearance to become more dimorphic, developing most of their identifying features except genitalia (which are developed more during this period).

Culture:

For the most part, the culture of Seyarans is wide depending on origin. Most fall under an idea of civilization or communities of large and dense populations. They tend to settle into a land no matter how hard it fights them, but most prefer to live in a far easier islands. Their culture is to vast to pin down easily, but there is ancestor worship, idol worship, and other religions.

Adaptations:

Seyarans are more well rounded than most other species, having a body that can adapt to new diseases and illnesses far better than any other people. However, it mostly depends on what the focus is of that individual Seyaran or any defects or mutations (of which they encounter many smaller mutations). Most can see well in low-light at the cost of details, but in darkness, they are nearly blind.

Other Info:

  • Their adaptability comes from not being hyper-specialized for any one type of environment, but this means they aren’t as good as some species in their native environment.
